Back from a little haitus...went through some back problems and had to give myself a rest from hunching over drawings.  And books.  And computers.  And food.  I'm basically a hunchback; I hunch semi-professionally.

I'm currently working on an art trade in watercolor.  I find myself missing the cleanliness of digital inking and coloring.  Man, what do you do when a pet hair gets lodged in the middle of your wet painting?  The "real world" of art is a scarrrrry place.

After that's done, expect pictures and a new ASOAIF laydizzle--finally!  Dany? Sansa? Arya? Meera? Melisandre? These are all on the radar.  Tell me if I'm missing anyone you're itching to see!

You know, I'm too shy to show my artwork to people in real life.  Sometimes I feel like my sketches are piles of poop steaming in the midday sun...  But DeviantArt is SO important to me for that reason.  Totally objective random strangers take time out of their day to look at my artwork and (le gasp!) say really sweet things about it.  It's so encouraging!!

You guys are the best...really, every little comment makes my day.

I've been working on this long commission project since November, and I haven't had any time to work on fun things...  FAIL.

I'm trying to squeeze in some fun time for my art, but it's rough!

I don't even know why, but I feel compelled to draw some anime-style stuff again...just for the lulz of it.

Ooooh, maybe I'll do some Sailor Moon fanart!?  That's some gold-star old-school shit right there...

I don't consider myself a photographer...I know too many people who are amazing and make my work look like fingerpainting with smeared crap.

So I seriously can't thank everyone enough for their kind words regarding my first photography series.  It's been really encouraging, and it's given me the drive to post my color photo series as well.  Thanks so much--it really made a shitty amateur photographer's day!
